City Thameslink London, UK

City Thameslink is an underground National Rail station in the City of London with a southern entrance on Ludgate Hill and a northern entrance on Holborn Viaduct. The station opened on 29 May 1990. A Delmatic system controls lighting throughout the station concourse and platforms as well as providing context-sensitive control of exit signage. The lighting management system integrates with the station exit and evacuation systems and is informed of the location of any safety hazard such as fire. This enables the system to automatically illuminate the relevant way-finding and exit signage to guide public safety out of the station and away from the source of potential hazard or danger. Quality & reliability of the highest order were crucial to the signage aspect of this project and Delmatic's track record over many years was instrumental in our specification and selection for this project.
