Barwa Financial District Doha, Qatar

in

Barwa Financial District is an integrated mixed use development on a 71,000 square meter plot with a built capacity of over 500,000 square meters.  The complex of ten state-of-the-art buildings is grouped, in traditional Arabic architectural style, to open to the inside of the site: the buildings average 20 to 25 floors while crowning the Financial District is a 45 story high tower.

The Barwa complex will be among the first certified sustainably designed construction in the Middle East region.  To show its commitment to sustainable development, Barwa have incorporated cutting edge design features that minimise the environmental impact including individual façade treatment to optimise shading effectiveness and grey-water recycling.

The Delmatic system controls lighting throughout the shell and core areas of the site, providing energy-efficient presence and daylight-linked control coupled with central management and monitoring using IP communication over the site IT network.
