The Singapore Government Cantonment Project is a 26,000 sq.m state-of-the-art "smart" building occupied by the Criminal Investigation Department, the Central Narcotics Bureau and Police A Division.
The building is one of the first truly intelligent buildings in Singapore with 13 hi-tech sub-systems integrated into the IBMS, and is designed to achieve a productive and cost-effective environment by optimising mechanical and electrical systems. The Delmatic system provides total flexibility through individual addressable dimming of every office luminaire while occupants can locally switch and dim lighting through the telephone network.
One aspect of such a secure and sensitive building is that overtime has to be approved in advance. Overtime approved through the facilities management system is transferred to the lighting and building management systems causing lighting and air-conditioning to extend until the end of the overtime allowance, thus maximising efficiency of both systems and individuals.
