Qatar Science & Technology Park Doha, Qatar

in

Qatar Science & Technology Park is a world-class centre of scientific research and excellence which hosts major national and international companies desiring to extend the boundaries of human knowledge, and fosters the interchange between academic learning and the practical application of knowledge to the world of business, medicine, science, engineering, and IT.

The Park was established as a part of The Qatar Foundation which was founded in 1995 by the Emir of Qatar and has been chaired since by his wife Her Highness Sheikha Mozah Bint Nasser Al-Missned.

The 48,000 sq.m centre comprises a complex of multi-user and single-user office and laboratory buildings located within an extensive landscaped park and sheltering under a stunning undulating roof or veil which embraces the entire development.

A Delmatic lighting management system controls lighting across the entire site including the 1200 space sunken carpark and external & landscape areas. The system provides a powerful combination of circuit switching in core and circulation spaces, Dali digital dimming throughout the office and laboratory areas, scene-setting phase-control dimming within the dramatic reception and public areas, analogue dimming of cold-cathode lighting as well as DMX dimming via the networked DMX infrastructure.

Tenants are able to customise their domain to suit their individual requirements through the addition of local control devices including presence detectors, multisensors, telephone and web-browser switching as well as through integrated control of other services including window blinds and security/access control.
